Rising above the Pacific beaches north of Manzanita, Neahkahnie Mountain is at the southern edge of Oswald West State Park. The course of Highway 101 around the mountain is feat of engineering. Great photo opportunities are presented at the numerous turnouts between the tunnel and the crest of the highway before it begins back down towards Manzanita.
From the community of Neahkahnie Beach at its base, a trail leads to the summit.
